The transformation of the area Overamstel is a new development on the south side of Amsterdam. This area will be filled with 1100 new homes, shops, school with nursery, 5500m2 offices and a hotel to become a mixed metropolitan residential area.
Block C2 is a part of four CPO blocks, which form a part of the plot A2. The CPO blocks are placed right on the river and form an explicit facade towards the park and the water.
The CPO blocks are placed on a collective basement with parking.
The organically shaped balconies follow the undulating movements of the park and symbolize the movement of the water. Together they create a rhythmic and dynamic pattern.
The greenery along the edge of the balcony embodies the expression of the sustainable nature of the building. Each apartment enjoys the floor height of at least 3 meters.
